Good Friday Agreement (GFA)
As is tradition at this time of year, we would like to invite you to the club to muck in and spruce up the club for the season as part of the annual Good Friday Agreement or "GFA"!
So for those of you who don't know what it is, please see the below description provided by club cricketer, Dominic Gavin:
"Get down to The Levers and muck in...
People of all abilities, all ages and all races are welcomed and invited to contribute to the annual improvement of the village's local community cricket club...
Mostly, activities fall into the following categories:
- Painting something that doesn't really need painting
- Burning things (old or new)
- Doing the charity run (which no-one ever runs)
- Moving things to and from the old changing rooms which never appear to get any emptier or cleaner
- Scraping weeds from the paving on 'the-front'
If you are not involved in any of these categories, then you are likely to fit into either of the following two categories...
- Male (age 5 - 30) and can be found attempting one of the above activities for about half an hour before giving up and leathering a football at whoever is driving the roller or rhoberine!!
All-in-all, good times are likely to be had all morning and early afternoon before everybody goes home to get ready for the night's events.
Essential dress includes:
- Really old/bad trainers (one hole essential)
- trackie bottoms (must be stained with paint)
- either an old darcy trackie/ 3/4 lengths / or bad yellow t-shirt from the 'Dearden-era'
Apologies if anything has been missed off!
See you there..."
Jokes aside, we'd really appreciate your help, support and/or company so we hope to see you there (in spite of the unseasonably cold weather!)

As the season comes to an end...
Yes folks, it's come to that time of year again when the cricket season winds down. We have just two weekends of cricket left before we pack up the wickets, bats and bails until next Spring.
But don't worry. The club will still be in full swing until the season comes to an end AND we've got loads going on during the winter!
We'll be celebrating this season with our End of Season disco on Saturday 15th September so join us for karaoke and disco!
The Junior and Senior cricket presentations will be taking place in late September/ early October.
As ever we have loads going on through the winter - Halloween, Bonfire and Christmas celebrations a-plenty!
If you fancy joining us throughout the winter, the club will be open Thursday and Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons/evenings when we will be showing Sunday football on our big screen!
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who came to support our Race Night on the Bank Holiday weekend! We raised some huge funds for the club's facilities and a great night was had by all!
Keep watching this space for notices about our upcoming events and news!
Thanks x
