Good Friday Agreement (GFA)

As is tradition at this time of year, we would like to invite you to the club to muck in and spruce up the club for the season as part of the annual Good Friday Agreement or "GFA"!

So for those of you who don't know what it is, please see the below description provided by club cricketer, Dominic Gavin:

"Get down to The Levers and muck in...

People of all abilities, all ages and all races are welcomed and invited to contribute to the annual improvement of the village's local community cricket club...

Mostly, activities fall into the following categories:
- Painting something that doesn't really need painting
- Burning things (old or new)
- Doing the charity run (which no-one ever runs)
- Moving things to and from the old changing rooms which never appear to get any emptier or cleaner
- Scraping weeds from the paving on 'the-front'

If you are not involved in any of these categories, then you are likely to fit into either of the following two categories...

- Male (age 5 - 30) and can be found attempting one of the above activities for about half an hour before giving up and leathering a football at whoever is driving the roller or rhoberine!!

- Female (any age) and in the kitchen making brekkie for those 'at work'!!

All-in-all, good times are likely to be had all morning and early afternoon before everybody goes home to get ready for the night's events.

Essential dress includes:
- Really old/bad trainers (one hole essential)
- trackie bottoms (must be stained with paint)
- either an old darcy trackie/ 3/4 lengths / or bad yellow t-shirt from the 'Dearden-era'

Apologies if anything has been missed off!

See you there..."

Jokes aside, we'd really appreciate your help, support and/or company so we hope to see you there (in spite of the unseasonably cold weather!)
